Assemblyman Hal Wirths announced today that the New Jersey Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association (FMBA) has endorsed his candidacy in the 24th Legislative District that includes all of Sussex County, 11 towns in Warren County and Mt. Olive in Morris County.

“I want to thank the leadership and members of the FMBA for their endorsement,” Wirths said.

“Along with Senator Oroho and Assemblyman Space, we took great offense that Governor Murphy and certain Democrats wanted to raid firefighter relief funds and we stood together across the State to stop it,” Wirths added.  “We will be ever vigilant to insure this doesn’t see the light of day.”

The District 24 legislators are also pushing legislation to protect the workers compensation of first responders who die in the line of duty (A-4058/S-1597).
