Assemblymen Parker Space and Hal Wirths were honored today to accept an “A+” rating and the endorsement from the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA PVF) as well as the endorsement of the Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs PAC (ANJRPC PAC). The two conservative, Pro-Second Amendment candidates are running in New Jersey's 24th Legislative District, which encompasses all of Sussex County and parts of Warren and Morris Counties.

Scott Bach, Executive Director of the Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs, said “The ANJRPC PAC is pleased to endorse two proven friends of the Second Amendment in the upcoming November 5th election for Assembly in the 24th District.  Assemblymen Space and Wirths have repeatedly demonstrated their unwavering support for gun rights through their exemplary voting records and bill sponsorships.  Space and Wirths are the strongest team for freedom and the Second Amendment.”

Both Space and Wirths are gun owners and NRA Life Members.  Space and his family own and operate Space Farms Zoo and Museum in Wantage which includes a huge collection of firearms and he is an avid hunter.  In his first term in the Assembly, Wirths was most vocal in his opposition to Murphy and the Democrats assault on the Second Amendment challenging the liberals on the floor of the Assembly time and time again.  Both candidates have supported numerous outdoor charity events held by such groups as the Friends of the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, and the Ruffed Grouse Society.

“Legislators who represent the 24th District take defending the Second Amendment seriously,” said Space.  “Hal and I appreciate the support of law-abiding gun owners from throughout Sussex, Warren, and Morris Counties.”

“Parker and I see first-hand how bad Democrat control of state government has been for those who want to exercise their constitutional rights to bear arms,” Wirths said.  “The Democrats know that law after law they are passing has no effect on crime and no effect on criminals, yet they will not rest until they turn all of us into felons.

“I have been proud to have been on front lines fighting the Democrats every step of the way as they try to trample our rights,” Wirths continued. “Parker and I appreciate the support by the NRA-PVF, the ANJRPC PAC, and by Scott Bach in this election and we appreciate their recognition.”

Space and Wirths are sponsors of shall-issue concealed carry legislation as well as legislation reforming New Jersey’s inefficient and antiquated licensing and permitting system.
